Nurturing Future

Our journey began with a few children begging on the streets of Ahmednagar. They had no safety, hygiene, or health where they were living. With the constant motivation of healthy, home-cooked meals, we gradually won the trust of all 78 kids from the community, many of whom had lost one or both parents. We were able to take them to our home for children, and provide them with the right nurturing and opportunities they had missed out on.

Children in Need

Kalashram & Seva Kutir

We rescue and support the children from our targeted communities who have been abandoned and are living in destitution on the streets. Our aim is to nurture their growth, providing them with dignity and self-esteem. To achieve this, we operate two full-time shelters:
Kalashram in Talegaon, MH
Seva Kutir in Mira-Bhayandar, MH
These children previously lived in makeshift huts and rudimentary housing, often sleeping under the open sky without access to electricity, clean water, or proper bedding. At both of our shelters, we offer clean and secure dormitories, rooms, toilets, and bathing facilities. Additionally, we prioritize their emotional and mental well-being, ensuring they feel safe and secure. The children reside permanently in these shelters, where they are provided access to educational opportunities, medical and healthcare services, nourishing home-cooked meals, dignified clothing, and a supportive community built on trust and safety.

Caring Hands Center for Education (School)

Caring Hands Center for Education is the Marathi medium school for underprivileged children involves creating a nurturing and supportive environment that addresses their unique needs and challenges while providing high-quality education.

  • Our school emphasizes the commitment to providing equitable access to education and empowering underprivileged children to reach their full potential.
  • Inclusive Admissions Policy: We implement an inclusive admissions policy that prioritizes enrolment for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities, orphanages, or street children.
  • Comprehensive Education Program: We offer a well-rounded curriculum that includes academic subjects (e.g., math, science, language arts), arts and humanities, physical education, and vocational training. We also provide opportunities for experiential learning, field trips, and hands-on activities to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Qualified and Compassionate Staff: Recruited and retained a qualified teachers and staff who are passionate about working with underprivileged children and understand their unique needs. We provide ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and cultural competence.
  • Individualized Support and Counselling: Our school offer personalized support and counselling services to address the socio-emotional needs of students, including trauma-informed care, mental health support, and conflict resolution skills. There are mentorship programs established and peer support groups to foster a sense of belonging and community among students.
  • Nutritious Meals and Health Services: Though we are not getting any financial support from Govt. we provide nutritious meals and snacks to ensure students’ physical well-being and support their ability to focus and learn also offer access to healthcare services, including regular medical check-ups, vaccinations, and preventive care, either on-site or through partnerships with healthcare providers.
  • Safe and Inclusive Environment: Our focus is to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment free from discrimination, violence, or bullying. We implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, including sensitivity training and cultural awareness programs for students and staff.
  • Family and Community Engagement: We foster strong partnerships with families, caregivers, and the community to support students’ academic and socio-emotional development. Involvement with parents and guardians in school activities, decision-making processes, and parent-teacher associations.
  • Technology Integration: Integrating technology into the learning process to enhance access to educational resources, digital literacy skills, and innovative teaching methods. Children have an access to computers, tablets, and the internet for both instructional purposes and student research.
  • Extracurricular and Enrichment Programs: Being an experiential school we offer a variety of extracurricular activities, clubs, and enrichment programs to cater to students’ diverse interests and talents, including sports, arts, music, drama, and leadership development.
  • Scholarships and Financial Assistance: We provide scholarships, tuition waivers, or financial assistance to ensure affordability and accessibility for students from low-income families. We always seek partnerships with philanthropic organizations, businesses, and donors to support scholarship programs and school operations.
  • Continuous Improvement and Evaluation: We have established mechanisms for ongoing evaluation and feedback to assess the effectiveness of programs and interventions. Using data-driven decision-making to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to enhance student outcomes.

These all elements has been incorporated successfully for underprivileged children which can create a supportive and empowering environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, regardless of their socio-economic background.
